What Is dryer vent repair?

Dryer vent repair covers replacing damaged, undersized, or non-compliant duct material, re-routing runs that are too long or have too many bends, and replacing failed wall or roof caps. We swap out flexible foil and vinyl hoses for code-compliant rigid metal duct, seal joints with foil tape rather than screws (so they don't snag lint), and install proper exterior caps with backdraft dampers and pest screens. If a vent terminates somewhere it shouldn't — an attic, soffit, or crawl space — we re-route it to the exterior.

Why Is dryer vent repair Important?

A dryer vent that leaks, sags, or runs through unconditioned space loads up with lint at every low point and quickly becomes a fire safety risk. Plastic and foil flex hoses are particularly bad — they melt under heat, sag in the middle, and trap lint in their corrugated walls. Properly sized rigid metal ducting moves more air, holds less lint, and lasts decades. Repairing a vent the right way once is dramatically cheaper than the recurring service calls, dryer replacements, and fire damage that come from leaving it wrong.

When Should You Consider dryer vent repair?

Repair is the call when you've found foil or vinyl flex duct in the run, the vent terminates inside the home, the exterior cap is missing or stuck open, ducting has separated at a joint, or you're seeing lint or moisture inside the wall cavity.
